Is a visa required for an Indian National to enter the Dominican Republic?

TOURISM VISA 

Applicants in possession of a valid residence or entry visa for USA, Canada, UK or Schengen countries may obtain a tourist card upon arrival, if traveling for tourism purposes only.

Non-Holders of a valid USA, UK, Canada or Schengen residence or visa need to apply for a tourism visa at our Embassy. 

ALL OTHER CATEGORIES OF VISA 

All citizens not travelling for tourism need to apply for the visa corresponding to the purpose of their travel (Business, Work, Study, Residence, Dependent).

How long does it take to obtain a visa??

All applications require approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic. Between 7 and 10 working days are to be expected for the approval of a visa.

Which forms of payments does the Embassy accept?

The Embassy accepts payment only through bank transfer to Embassy of Dominican Republic INR or USD accounts at DBS bank.  For bank details, please contact: consular@dominicanembassy.in

Is a confirmed air ticket required for processing a visa?

The Embassy only requires a travel itinerary issued by a travel agent. The Embassy is not responsible for air tickets and tourist packages purchased before obtaining the approval of the requested visa.

How much balance should be maintained in the accounts?

Applicant must show sufficient balance in their accounts which will justify their travel to Dominican Republic.

How can a visa application/document be submitted?

Applications must be submitted in person. In case, the applicant is unable to come in person to the Embassy then the application can be scanned and sent to consular@dominicanembassy.in or be filed either by a travel agent or a representative. The Embassy does not receive applications through courier.

What are the working hours/days of the Embassy?

The Embassy opens from Monday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm. It is advised to contact the Embassy at consular@dominicanembassy.in before submission.

Can an Indian, or a Foreign National, get their personal documents legalized?

The Embassy does not legalize any personal document. Those documents need to be Apostilled by the Ministry of External of India. For more information: click here.

How do I get my documents translated?

Legal documents must be translated into Spanish by an official translator of your resident state.
