Dominican IT companies participate in the INDIA-LAC IT Connect during the 21st edition of INDIASOFT

NEW DELHI - The Dominican Republic was represented by a sizable delegation of companies at the INDIA-LAC IT Connect, which took place on 30th and 31st of March 2021, as a dedicated segment for Latinamerican and Indian businesses during the 21st edition of the INDIASOFT global networking IT event. The participation of the Dominican companies was coordinated in a joint effort between the the Cyberpark of Santo Domingo and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in India.

INDIASOFT is the most important IT and software development show in India. Conceived and organized by the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council of India (ESC), it aims to "bring to the fore capabilities and core competencies of the Indian Software and Services Industry and to facilitate joint ventures, collaboration and strategic alliances with overseas buyers".

In addition, on the 31st of March the Embassy of India in Cuba and the ESC held a webinar focused on putting into perspective the potential for cooperation and business between the Dominican Republic and Cuba, and India in the IT sector, with a focus on cybersecurity. During the webinar, Mr. Eddy Martinez, Director of the Cyberpark of Santo Domingo, exchanged views with Mr. Nalin Kohli, president of IndiaSoft and former president of the ESC, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, executive director of the ESC and Col. Inderjeet Singh, Chief Cyber Security Officer Vara Technology Pvt Ltd.
