Dominican Republic delegation takes part in the Global Conclave of Pharmaceuticals Regulatory Agencies

NEW DELHI – A delegation from the Dominican Republic participated in the Global Conclave of Regulatory Agencies organized by the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil), held in New Delhi, India, from September 21 to 23, 2022. The Dominican delegation was composed by representatives of the  General Directorate of Pharmaceuticals, Food and Health Products (DIGEMAPS) and Essential Medicine Program/Logistics Support Centre (PROMESECAL).

Mr. Leandro Villanueva, vice minister of public health and director of DIGEMAPS, Mr. Darwin Y. Marcelo Feliz, technical coordinator of DIGEMAPS and Mr. Luis Lizardo, deputy of PROMESECAL, took part in the event. H.E. David Puig, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in India, and Mr. Carlos Gross, Trade, investment & tourism officer, accompanied the Dominican delegation.

Within the framework of the Conclave, the Dominican delegation also visited the IPHEX 2022, an exhibition dedicated to showcase pharmaceutical products and medical devices made in India.   

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is the authorized agency of the government of India for the promotion of pharmaceutical exports from India. Pharmaceutical products, namely bulk drugs, formulations, Biotech Products, Indian Systems of medicines, herbal products, diagnostics, clinical research, form part of its scope. The council organizes several external trade promotion activities such as trade delegations outside India, buyer-seller meetings and international seminars.
