Exhibition on hand-painted signs from India and Dominican Republic at the Serendipity Art Festival

NEW DELHI - Serendipity Art Festival hosted the second iteration of the exhibition “Hand-painted signs from India and the Dominican Republic”, which showcases the photographic archives of the artists Aradhana Seth (India) and Maurice Sánchez (Dominican Republic).

This exhibition, in which images from both geographies are displayed side by side, highlights the vibrant cultures of hand-painted signs in both countries,  and the similarities between those traditions.

The exhibition was presented in Panjim, Goa, from the 15th to the 23rd December, 2023, as part of the shows curated in the framework of the 6th edition of the Serendipity Art Festival.

This collaboration between the embassy of the Dominican Republic and the Serendipity Art Festival is the second of its kind. For the 5th edition of the festival in 2022, the Dominican Republic embassy in India sponsored the presentation of the band La Carisalve and a workshop on the use of traditional instruments in Dominican music.
