H.E David Puig takes part in the ICWA Ambassador’s round table discussion on the relations between India and SICA countries

NEW DELHI – On Thursday 10th March 2022, H.E. David Puig joined the roundtable discussion titled “Relations between India and the countries of the Central American Integration System (SICA)” held at the Indian Council for World Affairs (ICWA). 

The roundtable was moderated by Ambassador Vijay Thakur Singh, Director General of the ICWA, and included the participation of the Ambassadors in India of Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama, as well as the Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of El Salvador in New Delhi. 

During their presentations, the representatives of the SICA countries discussed the status, challenges and future scenarios for the relations between India and the SICA region. A question-and-answer session allowed a pleasant exchange between the representatives of the SICA and the ICWA researchers.

This initiative was coordinated by the Ambassador of Guatemala in India, jointly with the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA). Founded in 1943, ICWA is an autonomous organization, financed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and dedicated to the studies of the international relations of India.
